20th Anniversary

Cannonball Run 20th Anniversary Call Out
Panoramic Of The Cannonball Run Memorial Area

Design of the 1994 Northern Territory Cannonball Run Memorial

The memorial was designed by Roger Linklater. Roger is the father of Tim Linklater, one of the check point operators that died right here 20 years earlier.

The design was approved by the Pritchard's as well, as you'll see in the handwritten notes on the design in the accompanying PDF.

It was designed by Roger in October 1994. Just five months after the tragedy of losing his son.
